The Opportunity
As a dedicated Capital Markets Analyst, you’ll perform moderately complex to complex work assignments that support the strategic management of USAA’s capital and liquidity. This role manages access to external capital markets and leads the efficient execution of capital market transactions across all USAA entities, including capital markets reinsurance, asset securitization, and debt issuance.
The position partners with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate capital solutions, support strategic decision-making, and enhance financial flexibility while maintaining a strong risk management framework.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position is based in San Antonio, TX. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What you'll do:
Leads the entire transaction process including transaction structuring, underwriting decisions, asset selection and pricing for securitization, securitization cash flow modeling, approval management, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and due diligence activities.
Negotiates price, terms and conditions of transactions and oversees the preparation of offering document.
Supports the development and evaluation of enterprise capital and funding strategies through analysis of capital markets, industry trends, capital efficiency opportunities, and alternative funding structures.
Prepares and communicates analyses, recommendations, and transaction updates for senior management and other key stakeholders.
May act as a primary point of contact for a specific capital transaction type or line of business (auto loan securitization, credit card securitization, catastrophe reinsurance, and debt issuance).
Resolves issues and navigates obstacles to deliver work product.
Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
4 years of finance, treasury, capital management, capital markets experience or CFA and 2 years of finance, treasury, capital management or capital markets experience.
Proficient knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques to include relevant job-related technical knowledge.
Proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications.
What sets you apart:
US military experience gained through military service or gained as a military spouse / domestic partner.
Experience working in Banking or Insurance industry.
Knowledge of capital management, liquidity management, or regulatory capital frameworks within banking or insurance organizations.
Experience interacting with rating agencies, investment banks, institutional investors, or reinsurance counterparties.
Ability to cultivate executive-level relationships that influence strategic direction, accelerate decision-making, and support enterprise-wide initiatives.
Ability to serve as liaison to build consensus among diverse stakeholder groups by leveraging strong communication, negotiation, and influence skills.
Champion a collaborative culture by connecting cross-functional teams, removing barriers, and fostering long-term partnerships across the enterprise.
Advanced organizational skills with demonstrated accountability.
Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $77,120 - $147,390.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
