The Opportunity

The Marketing Internship is an outstanding program where you’ll get to learn from experienced professionals and gain hands-on-experience in the Life Company organization creating marketing campaign audiences for Life Insurance, Annuities Health Insurance and Investment products. 

Leads campaign requirement sessions, providing audience expertise and assisting in determining forecasted volumes. Oversees the build, execution, and delivery of accurate audience data; performs these tasks as required due to complexity or data security limitations.

The internships will be based at the USAA Corporate Headquarters in San Antonio, Texas. Interns offered full-time roles may have the opportunity to work out of one of USAA’s satellite locations.

What you'll do:

Our Interns work under direct supervision and follow risk and compliance procedures and guidance, perform routine work assignments and problem resolution to support other team members, including the following tasks:

  • Building and refining target marketing audiences

  • Analysis on funnel fall out

  • Application of data science models to improve response rates

What you need to have:

To qualify, you must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university, and plan to graduate after the final day of the internship. Most of our interns participate the summer between their junior and senior years. Our 2027 internship will start on June 2, 2027 and last through August 13, 2027.

  • Graduation date cannot be prior to August 13, 2027

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, Marketing Analysis

  • Additional experience/projects/coursework

What sets you apart:

  • Graduation date between August 2027 and June 2028

  • Knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud

  • Knowledge of data analysis tools to include Snowflake and/or Tableau

  • Knowledge of paid media and target marketing channels

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to present to peers and leaders

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $25 - $33. Interns will receive an intern stipend to assist with expenses.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the hourly range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual hourly rate for this role may vary by location.
