The Opportunity
As a dedicatedProcess Engineer-Mid-Level, you willpartner with cross-functional teams, in the application of process engineering principles to design and/oroptimizebusiness processes and their overall performance. Responsible for consistently executing the Business Process Management (BPM) strategy.Executes process improvement projects that sustainably improve member and employee experiences and business deliverables.Identifiesand manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and ensures risks associated with business activities are effectivelyidentified, measured,monitored, and controlled. Follows written risk and compliance policies and procedures for business activities.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to bein the office 4 days per week.This position will be based in the San Antonio, TX location. Relocationassistanceisnotavailable for this position.
Whatyou'lldo:
Applies knowledge of the business and process engineering discipline to improve cost savings, improved quality, or increased production.
Leads andfacilitatecross-functional, collaborative teams in business improvement and development initiatives guidelines tooptimizethe overall efficiency and effectiveness of the KPI.
Utilizes broad knowledge of customers, products and processes to support business problem analysis anddeterminethe bestmethodologyto resolve defect or issue.
Analyzes processes toidentifyareas of improvement, root cause analysis, and provideappropriate analyticstofacilitatebusiness effort prioritization.
Serves as a resource to team members on escalated issues of a routine nature and navigates obstacles to deliver workproducts.
Ensurerisks associated with business activities are effectivelyidentified, measured,monitored, and controlledin accordance withrisk and compliance policies and procedures.
Whatyouhave:
Bachelor'sdegree:OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experiencerequired) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
4 years of process improvement and/ordirectly relatedbusiness experience.
Demonstrated use of statistics, LEAN, Six Sigma, and industry tools (SIPOC, VOC, Process Mapping, Process Requirements).
What sets you apart:
Proficient knowledge anddemonstrateduse of process engineering methodologies.
Knowledge of and experience in applying Business Process Management (BPM) principles.
Practical application/experienceutilizingprocess mapping and data and analytical tools (i.e.Signavio, Excel, Minitab, etc.).
Foundational knowledge and experienceutilizingArtificial Intelligence (AI) and/or automation applications.
3+ years’ experience in banking/financial services.
Lean Six Sigma (LSS) certification (yellow belt and/or green belt).
US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.
Compensation range:The salary range for this position is: $77,120- $147,390.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
