The Opportunity
Join our USAA Summit Program and play a vital role in driving the execution and delivery of strategic initiatives that directly contribute to our organization’s most critical business goals. As a Rotational Fellow, you will collaborate with key stakeholders and project teams across various departments, gaining invaluable experience and contributing to high-impact business outcomes. This program is specifically designed to provide military affiliates a structured pathway to career opportunities by providing industry immersion, intensive development of strategic and business knowledge, leadership skills enhancement through targeted training, personalized executive coaching and mentoring, and a series of carefully selected rotational assignments designed to match your skills and interests.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position is based San Antonio. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What you'll do:
- Identify, analyze, and implement business process solutions. Propose innovative solutions and recommendations to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and overall performance across various functional areas.
- Develop business requirements and documentation for projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Analyze complex data sets, identify key trends, and generate actionable insights to support informed decision-making and strategic planning processes. Present findings in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align business processes with strategic objectives.
- Provide effective support in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects, ensuring timely and successful achievement of key milestones and deliverables. Contribute to the development of project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
- Participate in diverse rotational assignments across various departments and functions, gaining exposure to different aspects of our business. Potential assignment tracks available and dependent on background and interests, including but not limited to: Business Strategy & Planning, Executive Operational Planning, Business Advisor, Experience Owner, and Development Product Owner. Working patterns will vary depending on the specific requirements of each rotation assignment.
- Participates in structured career development, receive coaching and mentoring, and on-the-job training to accelerate professional growth.
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures
What you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Military veteran who has recently separated from the military with an honorable discharge or currently serving in any reserve or national guard, military component
- Military service that includes 6 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: project management, operational planning and analysis, strategy, development, product management, or executive support.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze business requirements, process flows, and use cases to find opportunities to streamline business processes, improve efficiency, and mitigate risks, all while adhering to relevant risk management frameworks.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies and their practical application in diverse project environments.
- Proven ability to develop clear and concise communications and deliver key information effectively to stakeholders at all levels of management. Strong presentation and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to think strategically and implement tactically.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
What sets you apart:
- MBA or Advanced Degree
- 3 years of direct team lead or management experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and cost-benefit analysis, with experience managing budgets or financial resources.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile, with a proven track record of driving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, with the ability to create compelling dashboards and reports that communicate complex information clearly.
- Experience with change management principles and practices, with a proven ability to lead and support organizational change initiatives.
Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $93,770 - $179,240.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
