Shape the Future at USAA: Talent Acquisition Partner - Early Talent Focus!

As an Intermediate Level Talent Acquisition Partner on the University Relations team, you'll play a vital role in connecting top early talent with exciting opportunities at USAA! You'll build solid relationships with hiring managers, connect with students and recent grads, and help us develop a diverse and talented pipeline for the future. You'll work with an encouraging team to implement innovative approaches to find the best and brightest early career professionals for USAA.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week.

This position will be based in following location: San Antonio, TX

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:

  • Drives Early Talent Sourcing Strategies: Proactively identifies, develops, and implements creative sourcing strategies – including social media campaigns, targeted online advertising, and innovative virtual events – to attract top early talent.

  • Builds University & Community Partnerships: Identifies and cultivates strategic partnerships with universities, colleges, and relevant community organizations to build a solid pipeline of early career candidates.

  • Manages Full Life Cycle Early Talent Recruiting: Executes full life cycle recruiting for early talent positions, with a strong emphasis on using sourcing, social media, and event-based strategies to attract people.

  • Leads and Represents at Early Talent Events: Represents the company at university career fairs, industry conferences, and other relevant events (both live and virtual), actively engaging with potential early talent candidates.

  • Guides Hiring Managers on Early Talent Best Practices: Guides hiring managers through the early talent recruitment process, providing expertise on attracting and assessing student and recent graduate candidates while ensuring compliance with all regulations.

  • Develops Engaging Social Media Content: Crafts and manages engaging content for social media platforms to attract early talent, highlighting company culture, career opportunities, and employee success stories.

  • Ensures a Positive Candidate Experience: Follows through on all submitted candidates in a timely manner, maintains high-touch communication throughout the entire hiring process, and ensures the Applicant Tracking System (Workday) is up-to-date and compliant.

  • Contributes to Early Talent Recruitment Initiatives: Serves as a team member on staffing projects and initiatives focused on improving and expanding the company's early talent recruitment strategies.

  • Drives Process Improvement for Early Talent Acquisition: Actively participates in process efficiency and improvement initiatives to optimize the early talent acquisition process.

  • Applies HR & Employment Law Knowledge: Acquires and applies maturing knowledge of relevant human resources disciplines, specifically employment law, policy, and procedure as it relates to early talent recruitment.

  • Addresses and Escalates Issues: Provides solutions and identifies appropriate issues for escalation related to early talent recruitment.

  • Manages Risk and Ensures Compliance: Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures, including those specific to early talent hiring programs.

  • May Negotiate Early Talent Offers: May negotiate salary per job requisition within the approved range, maintaining a fiduciary responsibility to the company when extending offers to early talent candidates.

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • 2 years of progressive work experience in staffing, general human resources, and/or account relationship management, to include knowledge of applicable employment laws.

  • Knowledge of state and federal laws regarding employment and hiring practices.

  • Knowledge of effective screening and interviewing techniques.

  • Developing knowledge and use of Microsoft Office products and other software to support sourcing tools and techniques.

  • Experience using Yello.

  • Experience managing Early Talent programs.

  • Existing campus partnerships in the San Antonio, TX area.

  • Intermediate Excel experience (formulas, pivot tables).

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $63,590.00- $121,530.00.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
