The Opportunity
As a dedicatedProduct Management Director-Bank,you will formulate product, pricing, and sales strategy recommendations based on analysis of profitability, competitiveness, and sales performance for a portfolio of bank products across their full lifecycle. Accountable for analyzing market trends and product performance for sustainable growth, profitability, member value, and regulatory compliance. Responsible for defining the business questions, providing insights to improve business performance, and execution of the vision, strategy, and product roadmap.
Within the Everyday Banking Deepening & Retention team, this role focuses on Strategic Planning, Financials & Business Insights — owning the financial model, building the business case, designing the measurement framework, and translating portfolio performance into executive-ready insights that drive decisions. You will be the strategic backbone of the D&R initiative portfolio, ensuring every investment is sized, tracked, andoptimized.
This role is remote eligible in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel. However, individualsresidingwithin a 60-mile radius of a USAA office will be expected to work on-site 4 days per week.
Whatyou'lldo:
Drives and evolves the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap aligned to Bank priorities and member needs.
Interprets performance results to inform product or sales forecast and planning.
Leads product innovation while ensuring alignment with businessobjectives, risk appetite, and regulatory expectations.
Develops recommendations to launch new products and the evaluation and decision to buy/build or partner.
Acts as product SME on features and services and collaborates with business partners to provide recommendations.
Analyzes and evaluates product performance metrics to form recommendationsregardingmarket opportunities and product enhancements and leads efforts to expand or change existing product features.
Partners with Marketing to define go-to-market and value proposition strategy of the product/feature.
Provides supportregardingall aspects of Product Life Cycle.
Approves and provides support in developing,editingand distributing product communications.
Coordinates with relevant control partners (to include Legal, Compliance, and Risk Management) to ensure product offerings are designed,implementedand managed in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectivelyidentified, measured,monitored, and controlledin accordance withrisk and compliance policies and procedures.
Strategic Planning, Financials & Business Insights (Team-Specific Focus)
Owns financial strategy and insights for the D&R portfolio — including forecasting, business case development, initiative sizing, benefit realization tracking, and ROI framing
Supports strategic roadmap development with portfolio-level analysis, initiative assessments, and executive-ready insights that connect work to outcomes
Develops andmaintainsthe KPI framework across Deepening & Retention initiatives — defining what success looks like and how it is measured
Designs and leads the learn agenda and test-and-learn strategy — building initiative measurement plans, interpreting results, and translating findings into go-forward decisions
Produces performance storytelling for senior leadership — translating complex data and trends into clear, compelling narratives that drive alignment and action
What you have:
Bachelor’sdegree in business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Statistics, or related discipline; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experiencerequired) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
8 years of relevant industry experience in Actuary, Underwriting, Marketing, Sales and Service, Finance/Accounting Operations or Financial Services.
3 years of product management, or similar strategic management experience (similar experience includes direct support in managing product performance).
Experience telling storiesleveragingdata visualization tools (i.e.Tableau).
Experience creating product briefings and presenting to executive leadership.
Experienced in market research to create product roadmap, make product decisions and iterate rapidly.
Knowledge of applicable Banking-industry laws, regulations, risk, and compliance requirements.

Performance storytelling for executive audiences — You turn data into decisions:synthesizing trends, surfacing insights, and producing executive-ready outputs that makecomplex performance landscapes easy to understand and act on.
Experience driving engagement, deepening, or retention strategy — Background in member/customer lifecycle management, engagement programs, or retention initiatives — particularly within deposit or credit card products at a top-tier financial institution.
Consulting or strategic advisory background — Experience at a top-tier consulting organization (e.g., McKinsey, Accenture, Deloitte) or in a COE/strategy role within financial services, with a demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous problems and drive to insight quickly.
Experience influencing across a matrixed, regulated enterprise — You've aligned stakeholders across Product, Finance, Analytics, Risk, and Marketing without direct authority —operatingeffectively in large, complex financial institutions.
US military experience through military service or as a military spouse/domestic partner.
Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $114,080 - $218,030.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
