The Opportunity
USAA is seeking a dynamic and strategic Intermediate‑Level High‑Volume Recruiter who will join USAA’s Talent Acquisition team in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will play a critical part in sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
As a High-Volume Recruiter, you will bring a proven track record of success in high‑volume recruiting, with preferred experience in the insurance industry. This role goes beyond transactional recruiting—you will apply a consultative mindset, leverage a strong understanding of local labor market trends, and use data‑driven insights to inform and influence hiring strategies in partnership with business leaders.
You will work within a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week.
In this position, you will be based in the Phoenix, AZ office location (1 Norterra Drive, Phoenix, AZ 85085)
Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What you'll do:
Strategic Sourcing & Full-Cycle Recruitment: Execute full-cycle recruitment for a high volume of insurance-related positions, utilizing innovative sourcing strategies to build diverse and robust talent pipelines.
Market Intelligence & Consultation: Conduct thorough local market analysis, staying abreast of industry trends, compensation benchmarks, and competitor activities within the insurance sector. Proactively consult with hiring managers and stakeholders to provide data-driven insights that shape recruitment strategies and optimize hiring outcomes.
Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and other internal and external stakeholders through exceptional communication and engagement.
Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Demonstrate a high degree of adaptability, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills to navigate complex hiring challenges and evolving business needs.
Process Optimization: Continuously assess and refine recruitment processes to enhance efficiency, candidate experience, and overall effectiveness in a high-volume setting.
Project Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ideally, leverage project management principles to manage multiple requisitions and hiring initiatives simultaneously. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on hiring objectives and strategies.
What you have:
Bachelor’s degree: OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
2 years of progressive work experience in staffing, general human resources, and/or account relationship management, to include knowledge of applicable employment laws.
Knowledge of state and federal laws regarding employment and hiring practices.
Knowledge of effective screening and interviewing techniques.
Developing knowledge and use of Microsoft Office products and other software to support sourcing tools and techniques.

US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.
Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $63,590.00 - $114,450.00.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
