The Opportunity
As a Director of Talent Acquisition for our High Volume Recruiting team, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to drive excellence across all facets of recruitment within a corporate environment. This includes directing the optimization of recruitment processes, technology, training, and compliance, with a focus on continuous improvement and enhancing the overall candidate experience. You will develop and manage comprehensive staffing programs, projects, operational plans, and goals, ensuring alignment of talent acquisition strategies with USAA's overarching strategic and operational objectives. Furthermore, you will spearhead the implementation and ongoing maintenance of USAA's Talent program roadmap, ensuring its effectiveness in attracting, engaging, and retaining top talent in a competitive market.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week.
This position will be based in following location: San Antonio, TX.

What you'll do:
Lead and Empower High-Volume Recruiters: Manage a team of talented high-volume recruiters, providing guidance, feedback, and career development opportunities to help them reach their full potential in a fast-paced environment.
Be a Talent Acquisition Advisor: Serve as a trusted advisor to the organization, providing expert guidance and clear communication on our overall recruitment strategies.
Drive Impactful Projects: You'll lead the charge in identifying and prioritizing key projects and improvements to our recruitment systems and processes, making a real difference in how we attract and hire top talent and ensuring a great experience for everyone involved.
Collaborate to Innovate: Partner with both internal teams and external experts to tackle business challenges and develop exciting new recruiting programs and initiatives.
Champion Continuous Improvement: You'll be at the forefront of driving continuous improvement, using Lean principles and best practices to streamline our recruiting process and enhance the candidate experience.
Build Strategic Partnerships: Forge strong relationships with vendors and consultants to bring industry-leading ideas, technologies, and services into our staffing strategies.
Design and Implement Innovative Programs: Lead the design, development, and implementation of creative recruitment programs and initiatives, using a variety of channels to meet our hiring goals.
Champion Diversity and Inclusion: Ensure that our recruiting programs align with our commitment to diversity and inclusion, and manage the associated budgets effectively.
Measure and Optimize for Success: You will define how we measure success and evaluate the effectiveness of our recruiting solutions, using data to drive continuous improvement across our talent pipelines.
Optimize Processes and Technology: Collaborate with talent acquisition leadership to streamline processes and optimize the use of our resources, tools, and technology to achieve our talent strategies.
Document and Improve: Ensure our processes are well-documented, efficient, and aligned with business needs across the talent acquisition function.
What you have:
Bachelor’s Degree OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
8 years of relevant experience in staffing/recruiting, consulting, analysis, or business operations management, and advanced knowledge of relevant employment laws.
3 years of people leadership experience in building, managing and developing teams.
Demonstrated experience assessing business needs while developing and executing HR strategies, programs, and tools that enable achievement of business objectives.
Demonstrated ability to manage the core operational processes for the TA team and ensures hiring success by building and delivering processes, tools, and systems to support the recruiting team, hiring managers, and candidates.
Proven experience using analysis, organizational trends, competitive intelligence, and benchmarked industry practices to understand talent shifts.
What sets you apart:
Proven experience leading and managing high-volume recruiting programs and teams, demonstrating the ability to scale recruitment efforts efficiently.
Successful track record of managing high-volume recruitment for contact center roles, especially in the banking and/or insurance (i.e. auto/property/health) industry.
Strong capability to create relationships and influence key stakeholders, driving strong business results.
Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $127,310.00 - $243,340.00.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
