The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organized Executive Operational Planning Advisor to join our Corporate Affairs team. In this role, you will support the operations and chief of staff team by coordinating key financial deliverables that drive business operations and enhance the team’s overall efficiency and effectiveness.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position is based in San Antonio, TX. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:

  • Assists with the coordination and timely submission of all EMG, EC, CEO, and BoD driven requirements.
  • Provides advice and guidance of deliverable materials with executive management and subject-matter experts.
  • Ensures communications meet established standards of appearance and content and that all logistical requirements are satisfied.
  • Supports operational planning processes to assure that management is knowledgeable of process, goals, objectives and strategies.
  • Provides support for monitoring and documenting progress toward achievement of business goals, objectives, strategies and action plan results.
  • Serves as an advisor to team members and functional area points of contacts providing input in support of EMG, EC, CEO, or BoD requirements.
  • Supports project teams in development and implementation of employee CoSA events and business conferences.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

  • Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 4 years of project/program management experience supporting senior level executives, corporate event planning and/or managing executive level communications.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and to work with all levels within the organization.
  • Knowledge of and experience developing executive level briefings in support of EC, CEO and BoD deliverables.
  • Effective communication skills with experience in developing engaging and effective presentations for all levels of management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information.
  • Demonstrated capability to navigate in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

What sets you apart:

  • Previous budget management experience to include payment system experience
  • Experience managing contracts with supported organizations and tracking related deliverables
  • Experience working with key partners across the organization, influencing decisions, and managing tasks to reach strategic goals
  • Ability to apply problem solving and decision making skills to develop solutions for business problems
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to present detailed information clearly to both peers and leaders
  • US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $77,120 - $138,810.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
