The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Business Application Analyst to join our Enterprise Protective Security (EPS) team under the Office of the Chief of Staff. This role plays a critical part in supporting the safety and security of our enterprise through innovative technology solutions and operational excellence.
The Analyst will be responsible for supporting EPS initiatives including access control systems, video surveillance, and an AI-based weapons detection project. Daily responsibilities include configuring and maintaining both hardware and software systems, providing support for ATM security, managing front door access submissions, and contributing to new construction efforts with a focus on security infrastructure.
This is a dynamic role that blends technical expertise with operational support, offering the opportunity to work on cutting-edge security technologies in a fast-paced environment.
Provides proficient analytical, business, and technical knowledge related to specific business functions, processes, and applications/IT platforms. Works independently to create, implement and maintain application solutions to meet the needs of a business or organization. Proposes changes to business processes to better align to business need.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to bein the office 4 days per week.This position can be based in one of the following locations: Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL.

What you'll do:
- Evaluates business needs and reviews system requirements for accuracy; translates data between business users and technical developers.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and opportunities specifically related to application/IT platform solutions.
- Provides intermediate to complex analysis, supporting the planning and implementation of systems and upgrades, and process changes.
- Participates in analyzing and documenting business requirements for application/IT platform and data systems, including testing and implementation of new systems or changes to current system as required to meet contractual needs and improve processes.
- Reviews new or upgraded application functionality with business partners (including training) to help them prepare appropriate training and procedures updates for their teams.
- Performs and may coordinate business and application/IT platform support; analyzes discrepancies and system failures.
- Facilitates and performs resolution activities to minimize business impact and avoid future exposure; informs team leadership and business partners of business implications associated with those events and develops recommendations to mitigate future impact.
- Maintains proficient understanding of business processes, supporting applications/IT platform, and strategic direction.
- Collaborates and exchanges information with team members, stakeholders, and information services to ensure dependencies, risks, and opportunities are identified.
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
- Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- 4 years ofwork experience in analyzing IT business processes, software application/IT platform design and/or IT documentation, with an understanding of application/IT platform data systems and operations processes.
- Demonstrated understanding of application/IT platform administration and the software development life cycle, to include testing execution.
- Experience in developing and maintaining documentation related to workflow and business requirements, as well as technical functionality of IT applications/IT platform.
- Knowledge of risk & controls with experience identifying and fixing gaps, documenting controls and testing of those controls.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
- Successful completion of an analyst assessment may be required.

- Experience in using Microsoft products to include Sharepoint, JIRA
- Comfortable communicating with all levels of management
- ASIS Physical Security Professional designation
Compensation range:The salary range for this position is: $77,120-$147,390.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
