Architect Communication Success: Design, implement, and maintain critical system rules that power our targeted outbound calling, email and texting campaigns for mortgage origination.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What you'll do:
Serve as a subject matter expert and gathers requirements, researches, and analyzes system details, parameters, or options to implement business rules, product offerings or changes to existing systems/applications.
Translate business needs into system requirements, parameter options or enhancements, working with internal and external resources.
Perform comprehensive feasibility, enterprise impact and cost/benefit analysis.
Execute complex recurring, scheduled, or ad-hoc system changes.
Develop and administer change control processes and procedures ensuring compliance with guidelines and standard processes.
Review post implementation documentation for lessons learned and recommends changes.
Develop and maintain knowledge of LOB, CoSA, and Enterprise systems, processes, procedures, products, and industry practices.
Review applicable system updates and makes recommendations to align with technology, business direction, or standard methodology.
Develop and execute testing, implementation, and communication plans for new or modified system parameters, options, product details, or system outputs.
Partner in analyzing and resolving system outages or production issues.
Develop and reviews operating procedures and documentation and ensure meet audit guidelines.
Analyze and report discrepancies to management with recommendations for resolution.
Prioritize business rules initiatives and reports status.
Summarize insights from analysis and use findings to develop business rules.
Maintain the Business Rules Repository and the enforcement of data governance requirements for all rule data housed within the application.
What you have:
Bachelor's degree: OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Minimum 4 years' experience consulting with customers/partners, understanding business needs, and translating needs into requirements and prescribing technology solutions; OR Advanced degree in Information Management, Information Studies, or related field with 2 years of experience consulting with customers/partners, understanding business needs, and translating needs into requirements and prescribing technology solutions.
Demonstrated experience in cost benefit analysis methodologies and tools.
Developing level of experience applying business rules in technology solutions and strategies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
Developing knowledge of relevant regulatory compliance, industry regulations, risk management practices, and regulatory data sources.
What sets you apart:
Experience as a Business Rules Analyst, Business Analyst/advisor, or similar role, with a strong emphasis on rule definition and management.
Experience within the mortgage industry, understanding of mortgage origination, servicing, underwriting, and relevant regulations.
Experience in developing and delivering presentations using tools like PowerPoint.
Proficiency in business rules management systems or related tools.
Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, Salesforce for data interpretation.
Familiarity with business process modeling tools and techniques (e.g., BPMN, Visio).
Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to dissect complex problems and formulate logical solutions.
Strong ability to translate business policies and needs into precise, actionable business rules.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $69,920.00 - $133,620.00.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
