Purpose of Job

We are seeking a Bank Regulatory Reporting Quality Assurance Senior for our San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX or Charlotte, NC locations.

We are seeking a Bank Regulatory Reporting Quality Assurance Senior to lead the performance, independent validation, and enhancement of external reporting data integrity. This entails performing periodic reviews of regulatory filings to evaluate the effectiveness of procedures and controls for the purposes of ensuring the accuracy of reports submitted to regulators. This position is primarily responsible for the data quality, data governance and data control for financial regulatory reporting data as well as other financial regulatory reports data. The Bank Regulatory Reporting QA function partners with key stakeholders to identify areas of regulatory reporting improvements, including identifying process enhancements.

Responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining quality assurance programs to ensure existing and emerging risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored and controlled. Ensures quality standards are established in accordance with internal practices, risk and compliance policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.

  • Serves as a functional expert and coach to peers and team members and acts as a resource for escalated issues of an unusual nature.  

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related discipline; 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

  • Minimum of 6 years’ progressive operations or process experience.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ quality assurance or quality improvement experience.

  • Previous experience operating in a financial services environment.

  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing data, identifying trends, and influencing decisions on recommended strategies to remedy issues.

Preferred Experience:

  • Banking Regulatory Reporting experience in FFIEC 031/041 Call Report, FR 2900, FR 2644, etc., strongly desired.

  • Ability of analyzing and assessing data attributes according to various regulatory agencies' guidelines and instructions, strongly desired.

Compensation:

USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The salary range for this position is: $80,200.00 - $144,500.00*(this does not include geographic differential it may be applied based on your work location)

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.

*Geographical Differential: Geographic pay differential is additional pay provided to eligible employees working in locations where market pay levels are above the national average. 

Shift premium: will be addressed on an individual-basis for applicable roles that are consistently scheduled for non-core hours.
