Purpose of Job

We are currently seeking talented Director, Product Management - West Region for our San Antonio, TX (WestRidge South), Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Tampa, FL, Chesapeake, VA facility or Remote.

Manages a team of individual contributors responsible for the maintenance of existing products and/or the development and launch of new products. Works collaboratively across Marketing, Finance, Legal, Information Technology, Operations and the Distribution Sales and Services groups to develop industry-leading products.

Manager Job Description:
• Accountable for the state strategy, including profit & loss performance for P&C Auto product
• Able to identify opportunities and achieve outcomes though portfolio of rate and non-rate actions
• Makes decisions and takes action at a state level to deliver primary outcomes while understanding impact at regional/countrywide level
• Effectively conveys state performance and strategy though business reviews
• Leads team of cross functional experts (e.g. Pricing, Underwriting, Claims) working in agile methods to ensure objectives are realized
• Responsible for maintaining thorough level of knowledge of business performance across his/her state(s) (e.g. trends, results, etc.)
• Prior Personal Lines Auto or Home Product Management experience

Job Requirements

  • Communicates the product value proposition to Distribution organization.
  • Ensures product team delivers sales support to all distribution channels (e.g., .com, mobile, contact center) so that the product is properly positioned to customers (sales tool and collateral development, sales training, etc.).
  • Generates innovation and solutions for customer needs to ensure a dynamic product development pipeline exists.
  • Develops and launches new product offerings as well as auxiliary/enhanced features/services for existing products.
  • Analyzes and evaluates product performance metrics to form recommendations regarding market opportunities and product enhancements.
  • Leverages resources to gather data and member information to support formulation of product strategy and acquire competitive intelligence.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Statistics, or related discipline OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • 8 or more years relevant industry experience in Actuary, Underwriting, Marketing, or Operations OR 4 or more years direct product management experience.
  • 3 or more years of direct team lead or management experience.

  • Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Actuarial Science, or related discipline
  • 8 years or more of insurance industry experience
  • 4 or more years of Personal Lines P&C Product Management experience (Auto or Home)
  • CPCU or FCAS designation

***Selected candidates will attend and complete the Management Development School program in San Antonio, TX, during their first six months in position.***
